Practice Information
Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Games are on Saturdays. There are No Cuts and No Benchsitting, plus Everyone Gets to Play Every Weekend. Almost every US rugby player first learns the game in college, so there's No Experience Required. Rugby is a great way to get into shape or to stay that way. Although the team is very competitive every year, the atmosphere at practice and during games is fun and very sociable. No other team on campus plays the same number or quality of teams that the Mothers do. In a typical season, the UMW Men's rugby team plays several Division I schools, and the VRU, UMW's regional league, frequently sends at least one team to the National Final Four. Anyone can join at any time of the season, so COME OUT TODAY!
