We welcome new rugby players at all times. There is absolutely no experience necessary. 

We have 3 active sides and often have multiple events each weekend. All recruits should either contact our captain Kyle Hoffmann at khoffmann15@gmail.com or our club president Robert Herse at rherse@umw.edu to learn more.  

We are one of the few teams anywhere with multiple coaches, dedicated fields (grass and turf), and extensive old boys and alumni network.  Mother's Rugby features a highly competitive D2 side, a B/C side that plays a D3 schedule on various weekends, and a great social group of players that look out for the team.

All of our coaches have dual citizenship (England, Ireland, and South Africa) and have over 100 yrs of on-field experience between the 4 of them.  Many of our best players had not played rugby until they got to Fredericksburg VA.  We have an amazing HS recruiting program and lead tours year round of our rugby fields, workout facilities, and campus.  The schools website and applications can be found here: www.umw.edu . The administration and admissions have been very supportive of rugby and will take time to meet with you and answer all your questions.  Every HS recruit that has visited has commented on how valuable the day was for them.
